Ray is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM professional and a Certified Wealth Strategist^®, leveraging close to three decades of financial knowledge and experience. In 1992, he began his career serving as an investment executive with a major New York Stock Exchange firm in Spokane prior to joining D.A. Davidson in 1995. Over the years he has served on D.A. Davidson Companies and Davidson Investment Advisors board of directors, and on the D.A. Davidson's Managed Assets Investment Committee. He has been a member of D.A. Davidson's Chairman's Council since 2002.

Ray earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Gonzaga University, and is an active supporter of both his alma mater and the University of Montana, a member of the Bulldog Club at Gonzaga University and the University of Montana Quarterbacks Club. Ray is an active Rotarian and former director for the Rotary Club of Missoula.

He has called Montana home since 1977 and shares life with his wife, Joely, and their three kids, Kellen, McKenna, and Aiden. He enjoys coaching youth sports, college sports, and golf.

Sydney is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Certified Wealth Strategist^®. She has been working in the financial industry since 2005. Prior to joining D.A. Davidson in 2008, Sydney spent several years as a mechanical design engineer in the automotive industry before transitioning to a career she loves in financial services and advisory.

A native of Miles City, Montana, Sydney earned her BS in Mechanical Engineering from Wright State University. She is dedicated to making a positive difference in her community. Sydney currently serves on the board of directors for TrailWest Bank, and is a former president of the board for Watson Children's Shelter and board chair for Providence Montana Health Foundation. In her free time, Sydney enjoys hiking, biking, trail running, Nordic skiing and spending time with her family, including three beautiful grandchildren.

Carter is a Financial Advisor on our team, he holds the Series 7 and 66 licenses. Carter is a Montana native originally from Valier, Montana. He moved to Missoula in 2015 to attend the University of Montana, and there he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Finance in 2020. Carter originally joined D.A Davidson in 2019 as an intern, he worked on the team as a registered client associate and is now excited to join the firm full time as a financial advisor. He has always had interest in the financial services industry and especially financial markets.

Carter also enjoys the many outdoor recreational activities Missoula has to offer such as hiking, fishing, and floating the river. He also spends his free time supporting University of Montana athletics, reading, golfing, and traveling.

Megan is a Senior Registered Practice Coordinator on our team where she holds the Series 7 and 66 licenses and has met the standards required to hold the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional certification. Prior to taking on her role at D.A. Davidson in 2019, Megan gained experience in the insurance industry as an Insurance Producer for State Farm. There, she earned her Property, Casualty, Life, and Health Insurance licenses.

She is a proud alum of the University of Montana College of Business where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance in 2018. She loves to travel as much as she can and also visit her hometown of Butte, Montana. In her free time, Megan enjoys attending sporting events, golfing, boating, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Riley is a client associate on our team. Riley is originally from Bigfork, Montana. She moved to Missoula in 2021 to attend the University of Montana, and there she received her Bachelor of Science in Business Finance and Economics in 2024. After college, she briefly worked in insurance and holds her life and health insurance licenses. Her true passion is finacial markets and the financial services industry. 

Growing up in Montana Riley has found a deep love for the outdoors. You can find her backpacking, fishing, and hunting in any spare moment she can get. In her down time, she spends time sewing and playing the bass and banjo.
